本展は、JST大学発新産業創出基金事業
スタートアップ・エコシステム共創プログラム（TeSH）採択課題
「KANABI KOGEI+」 の1年間のトライアル成果発表です。
本課題は、金沢美術工芸大学の新キャンパス共通工房に勤務する技術専門員による挑戦的な研究開発プロジェクトとして始動しました。
専門分野を越境し、領域横断的・融合的な作品制作の可能性を検証する試みです。
石材、木材、漆、金属、染織、陶磁、デジタル加工、写真、映像など、異なる専門領域を持つ技術専門員が、分野を横断しながら制作と実証を重ねてきました。
本展では、完成作品のみならず、素材理解、制作プロセス、思考の軌跡を可視化します。
大学の共通工房という「知の基盤」から生まれる新しい工芸の可能性をご覧ください。
本研究開発は、JST大学発新産業創出基金事業（JPMJSF2318）の支援を受けて実施されました。

This exhibition presents the one-year trial outcomes of “KANABI KOGEI+,”
a project selected under the JST Program for Creating Start-ups from Advanced Research and Technology (TeSH).
Initiated as an experimental research and development initiative led by the technical specialists of the Shared Workshops at Kanazawa College of Art, the project explores interdisciplinary and cross-material collaboration through practice-based experimentation.
Specialists from diverse fields—including stone, wood, lacquer, metal, textile, ceramics, digital fabrication, photography, and media—have worked across disciplinary boundaries through continuous production and verification.
Beyond finished works, the exhibition visualizes material research, creative processes, and traces of thought emerging from a university-based production environment.
This project has been supported by JST (JPMJSF2318).

今西 泰赳 展 ― Pure Ceramics ―
Hirotake Imanishi Solo Exhibition
金沢・香林坊のイタリアンレストラン＆カフェ La RINA にて、
陶芸家・今西泰赳の個展「Pure Ceramics」を開催いたします。
本展では、器の領域を超え、公共空間にも展開されてきた壁面作品を中心に発表します。
陶という素材が持つ「表層」「断面」「痕跡」に焦点を当て、
焼成によって生まれる歪み、収縮、釉の流動と滞留といった現象を、
制御と偶然のあいだで受け止める実践を提示します。
分子生物学研究者として、がん・免疫・ミトコンドリアを対象に生命現象のダイナミズムを研究した経験は、
現在の制作に深く通底しています。
生命が内包する秩序と不確定性、増殖と崩壊のリズム。
それらを直接的な図像として描くのではなく、
土・釉・火という物理的条件の相互作用そのものに制作を委ねています。
不完全さは欠陥ではなく、
物質が自律的に振る舞った痕跡。
自身が「Pure Ceramics（純粋な陶芸）」と呼ぶこの実践は、
研究者時代に叩き込まれた “Pure Science” の思考から派生した概念であり、
用途やジャンルから自由になった陶の在り方を探る試みでもあります。
カフェという日常空間の中で、
陶がどのように空間と呼応し、呼吸するのか。

La RINA (Kanazawa, Japan) presents a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Hirotake Imanishi.
This exhibition focuses on wall-based works that extend beyond functional vessels.
By shifting away from the frameworks of utility and mass, Imanishi highlights the surface, cross-section, and traces inherent in ceramic material.
Distortion, shrinkage, glaze flow, and stagnation produced through firing are phenomena that can be partially controlled, yet never fully dominated.
These fluctuations resonate with the uncertainties familiar in scientific experimentation.
Originally trained as a molecular biologist researching cancer, immunity, and mitochondria, Imanishi now explores the dynamics of life through clay.
Rather than depicting cells directly, he entrusts the creative process to the interaction of earth, glaze, and fire.
He refers to his practice as “Pure Ceramics” — a concept derived from the rigor of Pure Science — seeking a form of ceramic expression liberated from function and categorization.
Within the everyday setting of a café, the works invite viewers to reconsider ceramic material as a living, evolving presence.

「Line Traces / Life Traces」 に参加しています。
本展は、ドローイング作家・高島 進と陶芸作家・今西泰赳による二人展です。
線と土、ドローイングと陶。
異なるメディウムを用いながら、両者は目に見えないエネルギーや変化のプロセスを「痕跡」として提示し、生成と変容の瞬間を空間に立ち上げます。

Hirotake Imanishi is currently participating in the duo exhibition
Line Traces / Life Traces at AIFA Gallery in Verbier, Switzerland.
This exhibition brings together drawing artist Susumu Takashima and ceramic artist Hirotake Imanishi.
Takashima’s works emerge through the accumulation of lines, conceived as a meditative performance of gesture, time, and material.
Imanishi’s ceramic sculptures, shaped by fire, pressure, and chance, translate the rhythms of living cells into clay, revealing matter as something alive and continuously evolving.
Through line and clay, the exhibition traces invisible energies—gestural, biological, and material—
and presents moments where transformation takes form.

国際的なクラフツマンシップ・プラットフォーム Homo Faber Guide に、
今西泰赳の陶芸作品および活動が掲載されました。
Homo Faber Guide は、現代の優れた工芸作家・職人を国際的な視点で紹介するガイドであり、
世界各地のミュージアム関係者、キュレーター、コレクターに参照されています。
陶芸の実践が、このような国際的文脈の中で紹介されたことを光栄に思います。
今後も素材と技法、そして表現の可能性を探求しながら制作を続けてまいります。

Hirotake Imanishi has been featured in the Homo Faber Guide,
an international platform for contemporary craftsmanship curated by the Michelangelo Foundation (Switzerland).
The guide introduces outstanding artisans and craftspeople worldwide
and serves as a reference for museums, curators, and collectors.
Based in Kanazawa, Imanishi continues his ceramic practice through an exploration of material, technique, and form.

公益財団法人ほくりくみらい基金は、「第二回 令和6年能登半島地震工芸作家チャリティーオークション」（工芸作家チャリティーオークション事務局／代表：今西泰赳）の落札金額の一部をご寄付いただき、新たに冠基金「工芸みらい基金」を設立いたしました。
The Hokuriku Mirai Foundation has established the Kogei Mirai Fund, supported in part by proceeds from the “2nd Noto Peninsula Earthquake Charity Auction for Craft Artists” (organized by the Craft Artist Charity Auction Office, represented by Hirotake Imanishi).
同オークションは、全国の工芸作家の方々が作品に込めた想いを通して復興へ貢献したいとの願いから開催され、昨年に続き二度目の実施となりました。趣旨に共感された作家と入札者の皆さまの善意・信頼によって成り立っています。
The charity auction, now in its second year, was created to support recovery efforts through works crafted with care by artists across Japan. It is sustained by the generosity of participating artists and bidders.
本基金による助成プログラムでは、「令和6年能登半島地震」で被災した石川県内の工芸作家の制作活動を支援します。
This grant program supports craft artists in Ishikawa Prefecture whose creative environments or activities were affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.

寄付の受付について / Donations Welcome
本基金では、趣旨に賛同いただける皆さまからの寄付も受け付けています。
半年ごとに集まった寄付を原資として、被災した工芸作家の活動を継続的に支援します。
The fund also welcomes contributions from supporters. Donations collected every six months will be allocated as grants to assist earthquake-affected craft artists.

Eligible applicants:
Craft artists working in Ishikawa Prefecture who were affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake.
Craft artist refers to individuals with experience producing and selling craft works.
対象外：
a) 主な制作拠点が石川県外
b) 特定の宗教・政治活動を目的とする場合
c) 反社会的勢力と関係がある場合
Not eligible:
a) Artists whose primary studio is outside Ishikawa
b) Projects intended for religious or political advocacy
c) Individuals associated with antisocial groups
第2回公募スケジュール / Application Schedule
- 申請受付： 2025年12月1日（月）〜 助成総額に達し次第終了
- 審査： 毎週日曜締め、その翌々週金曜日までに結果通知
- 給付期間： 採択日から6ヶ月以内（期間内に支出が完了すれば可）
- Application period: From Dec 1, 2025 until funds are fully allocated
- Review: Applications received by each Sunday are reviewed by the following second Friday
- Grant use period: Within 6 months from the date of approval

助成額： 上限5万円（1人1回限り／自己負担なし）
総額： 500,000円（2025年11月1日現在）
Grant amount: Up to ¥50,000 per applicant (one-time only, no self-contribution)
